It is designed primarily for independent restaurants and growing kitchen teams. Caterers, food trucks, private chefs, and culinary creators can also use the same recipe and ingredient foundation to organize their work.

Do I need to use AI to use the product?

No. Inventory, recipe costing, production calculations, shopping requirements, and What Can I Make? use the data you enter and do not require an AI action. AI recipe suggestions are optional and remain a separate, user-triggered tool.

Where is my kitchen data stored?

Accepted Answer

Your kitchen data is stored in secure database infrastructure and encrypted both in transit and at rest. Cuisine Alchemy also maintains the synchronized browser data needed for offline work, so you can continue using supported features during a temporary connection loss. Changes synchronize securely when connectivity returns.

Will my data appear on another device or browser?

Yes. After you sign in, Cuisine Alchemy loads the kitchen data associated with your user account, active kitchen, and permitted role. The secure database and your active browser session remain synchronized while a connection is available. Data required for offline work stays available in the browser during the session and synchronizes any changes when connectivity returns.

How do team roles work?

Owner has full kitchen and account control. Manager runs kitchen content and daily workflows and can manage Cook or Viewer records. Cook can work with recipes and operational records but cannot manage sensitive pricing or destructive actions. Viewer has read-only access.

What controls a team member’s access?

Accepted Answer

Access is tied to the team member’s authenticated account, kitchen membership, and assigned role. Each active session receives only the kitchen information and actions allowed for that person, and removing the membership removes their access to the shared kitchen.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Your subscription remains active until the end of your current paid billing period. You can continue using your plan’s features until that date, and you will not be charged again unless you reactivate the subscription.

What happens if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Deleting an Owner account permanently removes the profile, owned kitchen workspace, team access, recipes, inventory, production records, and other associated data. Any active subscription is canceled immediately, access ends when the account is deleted, and there will be no future subscription renewals. When a team member deletes their account, their access and personal attribution are removed while the shared kitchen and its operational history remain available to the Owner.

Will I receive a refund if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Deleting an account does not automatically provide a prorated refund for unused subscription time. If you want to use the remainder of your paid period, cancel your subscription and wait until the period ends before deleting your account. Billing errors and other exceptional refund requests can be reviewed by contacting support.

How does recipe costing work?

Accepted Answer

Recipe ingredients link to inventory items and their purchase costs. Cuisine Alchemy converts compatible quantities where the plan allows it, calculates the recipe total, and derives cost per serving from the recipe yield. When ingredient costs change, connected recipe costs reflect the updated information.

Can inventory be managed in pounds or ounces?

Yes. Ingredients can use weight units such as pounds and ounces. Creator and Pro Kitchen include compatible weight and volume conversions, while Free supports costing when the recipe and purchase units already match.

How do production plans affect inventory?

Accepted Answer

Pro Kitchen production plans scale recipe requirements to a target yield and validate the available stock. Executing and completing an eligible plan records the actual ingredient usage. Draft plans can be edited or deleted by authorized roles, while completed plans remain unchanged for audit history.

How are shopping lists created?

Accepted Answer

Pro Kitchen supports manual lists, low-stock recommendations, and recommendations for the shortages in one draft production plan. Production is optional, every recommendation can be adjusted before saving, and authorized team members can record immediate purchases or deliveries into inventory. Marking an item purchased by itself does not change on-hand.

Does What Can I Make? use AI?

No. What Can I Make? is a deterministic Pro Kitchen calculation. It compares recipe requirements with on-hand inventory to show complete batches and servings, limiting ingredients, small stock gaps, and recipes that still need inventory setup.

What is included in each plan?

Accepted Answer

Free supports up to 10 recipes, 30 ingredients, 3 monthly AI actions, and 1 additional team member. Creator adds unlimited recipes and ingredients, profitability tools, advanced conversions, exports, 25 monthly AI actions, and up to 3 additional members. Pro Kitchen adds inventory operations, waste and reorder controls, production, smart shopping, What Can I Make?, 100 monthly AI actions, and up to 10 additional members. The kitchen Owner is included separately and does not count toward these team limits.

What counts as an AI action?

Accepted Answer

An AI action is used only when you explicitly generate a recipe suggestion. Opening the AI section, selecting ingredients, changing maximum quantities, reviewing a result, or saving an approved recipe does not create an additional AI charge.

Question 18

What happens if an AI request fails?

Accepted Answer

A failed generation does not consume an AI action. The interface shows the action cost before generation, your remaining shared kitchen allowance, and when the usage period resets.

Question 19

What information is used for an AI suggestion?

Accepted Answer

You choose the inventory items AI may consider and the maximum quantity for each one. Only those selected ingredient names and quantities are included in the generation request. The result remains a draft until you review and save it.
