Question 1

What is Cuisine Alchemy?

Accepted Answer

Cuisine Alchemy brings recipes, ingredient costs, inventory, production planning and shopping into one kitchen workspace.

Question 2

Who is it designed for?

Accepted Answer

Independent restaurants, caterers, food trucks, private chefs and culinary creators who need to organize recipes and daily kitchen work.

Question 3

Can I use Cuisine Alchemy on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The mobile app is built for iOS and Android and uses the same account and kitchen records as the web app. Available actions follow your plan and team role.

Question 4

Do I need to use AI?

Accepted Answer

No. Inventory, recipe costing, production, shopping and What Can I Make? work without AI credits. Cuisine AI is an optional tool for generating recipe ideas.

Question 5

Where can I find help with a feature?

Accepted Answer

Open User guide in the app to search for step-by-step instructions. You can also print or save the guide as PDF. Contact us if you need more help.

Question 6

Where is my kitchen data stored?

Accepted Answer

Kitchen records are stored online under your account and kitchen. Your browser or mobile app also keeps local copies for supported offline work. On a shared device, synchronize pending work before choosing sign out and clear device data.

Question 7

Will my changes appear on another device?

Accepted Answer

Yes, after they synchronize. Use the same account and kitchen on each device. Automatic mode synchronizes while connected; in manual mode, use the sync control. Unsaved form drafts stay on the device where you created them.

Question 8

Can I work without an internet connection?

Accepted Answer

On mobile, download your workspace in Settings before going offline. You can browse saved records and save supported edits or drafts, depending on your access. On web, keep an already loaded workspace open; reopening the site while offline may show the offline page. AI generation, production execution, receiving purchases and account management require a connection.

Question 9

What does “saved on this device, pending sync” mean?

Accepted Answer

The change is stored on this device but has not yet synchronized with your kitchen online. Reconnect and let automatic sync finish, or start sync manually. Review any reported issue before clearing device data or relying on another device’s copy.

Question 10

How do team roles work?

Accepted Answer

Owner manages the kitchen, team and billing. Manager manages daily operations and Cook or Viewer access. Cook can create and edit recipes and carry out permitted kitchen work, but cannot manage pricing or delete recipes. Viewer can read permitted records without changing them. Plan and access restrictions also apply.

Question 11

Where can I view my invoices or receipts?

Accepted Answer

As the Owner, open Account → Billing → Payment history. Available payments include receipt, invoice or invoice PDF links. You can also manage billing details and the payment method from Billing.

Question 12

How do I change my password or recover access?

Accepted Answer

Use Account security to change your password. If you cannot sign in, choose Forgot password? on the login screen and follow the recovery email. If the link has expired, request a new one.

Question 13

Can I choose which notifications I receive?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In Settings → Notifications, choose Off, Email, Push or Both for each available alert type. Set the daily summary time, time zone and push quiet hours. Push also needs to be enabled and permitted on each device. Your choices do not change your teammates’ preferences.

Question 14

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Your subscription remains active until the end of your current paid billing period. You can continue using your plan’s features until that date, and you will not be charged again unless you reactivate the subscription.

Question 15

What happens if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Deleting an Owner account permanently deletes its kitchen, recipes, inventory, production records and team access. Any active subscription is canceled immediately and remaining paid access ends. Deleting a team member’s account removes their access while the shared kitchen remains with the Owner. Export needed information first.

Question 16

Will I receive a refund if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Account deletion does not automatically provide a refund for unused subscription time. To use the rest of a paid period, cancel the subscription and wait until that period ends before deleting the account. Contact Support about billing errors or exceptional refund requests.

Question 17

Can I read a recipe without editing it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Click or tap a recipe card to view its ingredients, quantities and preparation steps. Choose Edit recipe when you want to change it and your role permits editing. Viewing alone does not create an editing draft.

Question 18

How does recipe costing work?

Accepted Answer

Recipe costs use linked inventory ingredients, their purchase costs and the recipe yield. Compatible unit conversions depend on your plan. When ingredient costs change, connected recipe costs reflect the updated information.

Question 19

Can I use pounds or ounces?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Creator and Pro Kitchen include compatible weight and volume conversions. Free supports costing when recipe and purchase units match. Choose your measurement system and enabled units in Settings.

Question 20

How do production plans affect inventory?

Accepted Answer

On Pro Kitchen, a draft plan calculates the ingredients needed for your target servings without consuming stock. Executing it requires a connection and confirmation; this records ingredient usage and completes the plan. Completed plans cannot be edited or executed again. If confirmation is interrupted, resume the pending action instead of creating another execution.

Question 21

Does marking a shopping item purchased increase stock?

Accepted Answer

No. Purchased tracks shopping progress. Use Add to Inventory to record what actually arrived and update stock, including partial deliveries. Pro Kitchen lists can start manually, from low stock or from a draft production plan’s shortages.

Question 22

Can I archive or delete a shopping list?

Accepted Answer

Archive a list to remove it from the active view while keeping its history. You can restore it later. Permanent deletion is available only for lists without purchase or receipt history, when your role allows it.

Question 23

Does What Can I Make? use AI?

Accepted Answer

No. It compares saved recipes with your stock to show possible batches and servings, missing ingredients and setup issues. It is included in every plan and uses no AI credits. Creating a production plan from a result requires Pro Kitchen.

Question 24

Can I import or export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes, through the actions available for your role and plan. Recipes support PDF and CSV exports; inventory has its own export options. Owners can import supported files and use Kitchen data transfer in Settings. The kitchen importer currently restores inventory items and recipes, not every section included in an export.

Question 25

What is included in each plan?

Accepted Answer

Free covers recipe and ingredient basics. Creator adds profitability tools, advanced conversions and sub-recipes. Pro Kitchen adds inventory operations, production and smart shopping. Each plan includes shared Cuisine AI credits and team access with different limits.

Question 26

What does one Cuisine AI credit include?

Accepted Answer

One credit creates three recipe ideas and includes one optional regeneration with the same ingredients, quantities and measurement settings. Another batch after that uses a new credit. Changing the selection also starts a new credit when you generate. Viewing or saving existing ideas uses no additional credit.

Question 27

Can I buy more credits, and do they carry over?

Accepted Answer

The Owner can buy available one-time packages on the web in Account → Subscription. Included plan credits are used first and reset with the allowance period; purchased credits carry over. The balance is shared by authorized kitchen members on web and mobile. Buying credits does not change your plan or restore restricted kitchen access.

Question 28

What happens if an AI request fails?

Accepted Answer

A failed generation does not consume a credit. If a connection is interrupted, check the same pending generation before starting another one: the recipes may already have been created. The app shows the cost before generation and your remaining balance.

Question 29

What information does Cuisine AI use?

Accepted Answer

Cuisine AI uses your selected ingredients, maximum quantities and measurement settings to generate ideas. When generating another batch, it can use previous recipe names to ask for different options. Review the ingredients and preparation before saving a suggestion; generation does not change stock.
