Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Cuisine Alchemy website and mobile app. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

The service and your account

Cuisine Alchemy provides tools for kitchen inventory, recipe costing, capacity estimates, production planning, shopping, and related workflows. You must be legally able to enter into these terms and provide accurate account information. Keep your credentials and authenticator secure, use an individual account, and use the service only for lawful purposes.

The kitchen Owner controls invitations and assigned roles. An authorized Manager can manage eligible team memberships. If you join a kitchen, the kitchen plan, your assigned role, and the current access status determine what you can see and do. You are responsible for the content and actions you submit and for having authority to act on behalf of your kitchen.

Some actions require a connection, refreshed authorization, or completion on the website or payment provider. A locally available record does not grant permission to change it. Do not bypass access controls, usage limits, or another kitchen's permissions.

Your kitchen content and team access

You retain your rights in recipes, images, prices, inventory records, and other content you provide. You must have the rights needed to upload it and share it with your kitchen team. You allow us and our service providers to host, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to provide, synchronize, secure, and support the service.

Authorized team members can view or change shared kitchen content within their permissions. Removing a membership does not erase the operational records that person contributed or retrieve copies they previously exported. Do not upload unlawful content, infringe others' rights, interfere with the service, or attempt unauthorized access.

Operational calculations and confirmed actions

Costs, menu prices, inventory values, capacity estimates, shopping recommendations, and profitability projections depend on your records, quantities, units, and assumptions. Projections are not recorded sales, cash receipts, or net business profit. Verify results against your real records before purchasing, pricing, preparing food, or making business decisions.

A draft, a shopping item marked purchased, or an estimated recipe capacity does not by itself consume or receive stock. Production execution requires server confirmation: stock consumption, ledger records, and plan completion are committed together. Purchase receiving must also be confirmed through its available receipt action.

What Can I Make? evaluates each recipe independently against the available stock snapshot. Its batch capacities cannot be combined as a promise that several recipes can be produced together. Where offered in the mobile match detail, adding missing ingredients creates a shopping list, and adding servings or batches creates or updates a production draft. These actions do not reserve, receive, or consume inventory. Review current stock and the combined requirements of the full plan before execution; local draft or list changes may still need synchronization.

If confirmation is interrupted, use the offered resume action for the existing request rather than submitting the same operation again as new work. Completed production plans cannot be edited, deleted, or executed again through the normal client workflow. Review conflicts and validation errors before retrying.

Cuisine AI

AI generation is optional and uses the ingredients and maximum quantities you choose, together with relevant measurement preferences. An authorized member requests generation on behalf of the kitchen, and AI allowances are shared according to the current plan and displayed limits. Generating an idea does not save a recipe or deduct stock by itself.

Cuisine AI uses credits shared by authorized members of the kitchen. One credit creates three recipe ideas and includes one optional regeneration with the same ingredients, quantities and measurement settings. A different input or a further generation can require another credit. Review the cost and confirmation shown before submitting; resume an uncertain request using its existing identity.

Included monthly credits follow the current plan and reset with the displayed period. Optional credit bundles are one-time purchases activated after verified payment. Included credits are used first and purchased credits carry over. Credit purchases do not change your plan, grant POS access or restore restricted kitchen editing. Refunds or disputes can adjust the balance, including an adjustment that later purchases cover first.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable, or similar to output provided to others. Check ingredients, allergens, quantities, cooking temperatures, food safety, costs, and preparation instructions before saving, sharing, or using it. AI output is not professional culinary, safety, legal, or financial advice.

Only submit information you are authorized to send for external AI processing. See the Privacy Policy for the information sent and the applicable provider terms. We do not promise exclusive rights in generated suggestions.

Plans, renewals, and billing

Features and kitchen-wide usage limits depend on the current plan; your role can impose further restrictions. For paid subscriptions, the price, billing interval, renewal terms, taxes, and other terms presented at checkout or when confirming a change apply. Paid subscriptions renew according to those terms until canceled. A plan selection or checkout return alone does not confirm activation.

Stripe handles checkout, payment methods, and the available billing-portal actions. The Owner can review billing details, invoices, receipts, and subscription status. Changes may take time to appear while payment events are reconciled. Kitchen display currency does not convert existing amounts or change the subscription billing currency.

Use the billing portal to manage or cancel an active subscription. Cancellation can leave access in place until the end of the paid period, as shown by the confirmed subscription status. Deleting an Owner account instead immediately cancels its linked kitchen-plan and add-on subscriptions and ends remaining paid access; deletion does not automatically issue a refund. Any refund rights required by applicable law or expressly provided at checkout remain unaffected.

If you believe a charge is incorrect or need help with cancellation or a refund request, please contact us. Access can be restricted when a subscription or authorization cannot be confirmed; consult the app's current status before making further changes.

Independent add-ons

Add-ons are managed in Account → Subscriptions and may be billed separately from the kitchen plan. Review the price, billing interval and renewal terms offered at checkout. The current POS Connect offering covers one kitchen and one merchant account with a supported POS provider; it is independent of Free, Creator and Pro.

Purchasing an add-on does not override roles, restore kitchen editing or authorize a provider account by itself. Available actions depend on confirmed payment or separately provisioned access, the current paid period, kitchen permissions, provider authorization and service configuration. A payment return or selected product alone does not establish activation.

Use the relevant subscription’s Stripe management flow to manage billing or renewal. Disconnecting a provider, revoking its authorization or disabling its connector does not cancel an add-on subscription. Canceling renewal can preserve access until the confirmed paid period ends. Review the particular plan and add-on separately when changing subscriptions.

POS Connect and imported records

POS Connect links a kitchen to an account with a supported point-of-sale provider. It is not exclusive to a single provider; Clover is the integration currently available. Only an authorized kitchen Owner may connect a merchant account they have permission to administer. Connection requires the active POS add-on, editable kitchen access and any required account verification. Provider authorization follows the offered browser flow, including when started from the mobile app. Available capabilities and records depend on the provider, granted permissions and supported integration. POS Connect imports permitted merchant, product and sales-related records; it does not operate as a checkout or payment-processing terminal.

Review product-to-recipe associations, imported order status, payments, refunds and synchronization errors. Product imports do not create kitchen recipes or automatically match them by name. Provider access, available history and update windows can limit completeness; imported financial information is not a complete accounting statement or a guarantee of sales, receipts or profit.

Theoretical ingredient use is an estimate for the selected saved order, based on captured recipe and subrecipe information. One sold unit represents one portion of the associated recipe. It does not reconstruct modifiers, waste, preparation or recoverable ingredients after a refund. Incomplete, unlinked, invalid, incompatible or refunded records can make the result partial, excluded or unavailable; missing quantities do not establish zero physical consumption.

Recipe information is captured on first import, which may occur after the original sale. Later recipe edits do not rewrite that captured history. POS imports and estimates do not consume, reserve or restore stock, execute Production, or create inventory-ledger entries.

Provider operations require an online service and server confirmation; they are not queued as an alternative offline execution path. The Owner can disconnect the integration to stop its use and remove its saved connection credentials while retaining imported history and recipe associations. Removing authorization or uninstalling an integration in the provider’s service is a separate action, and billing cancellation remains separate.

Each POS provider has its own terms, privacy policies and account or authorization rules. Review the policies published by your provider before connecting and whenever those policies change. They govern the provider’s own services and do not replace these terms or Cuisine Alchemy’s Privacy Policy.

Local data, synchronization, and availability

The web and mobile apps can keep workspace data, drafts, and pending changes on your device. Offline access depends on data already available there. Local saves may not reach other devices until successfully synchronized, and server-confirmed actions do not have an alternative offline execution path.

Connections, third-party services, and synchronization can fail. Review pending actions, errors, and conflicts before switching devices or clearing local storage. Signing out normally can leave workspace data on the device. Browser clearing, uninstalling, or clearing mobile app data can remove unsynchronized work.

Keep appropriate copies of information your kitchen needs. Notification delivery may be delayed or fail and does not replace checking stock, synchronization, or confirmed operational results. Device notification preferences do not alter your teammates' preferences.

Exports, imports, and sharing

Use the available export, download, print, and native-sharing tools only for information you are authorized to disclose. Kitchen backups may contain private team information, images, and pending device changes. You are responsible for protecting downloaded or shared copies and choosing their recipients.

An export is not a guarantee that every section can be restored. The current kitchen importer restores supported Inventory items and Recipes, not the full kitchen, team access, billing, or operational histories. Some formats omit media or have file and size limits. Review the preview, warnings, and existing-record strategy before importing; imports may update existing records and do not replay stock execution.

Smart Shopping CSV import and export are separate from kitchen backup restoration. Review the chosen destination, inventory matches, quantities, units, and proposed states before importing. An import can create or update a list; items not included in the file remain in the destination list. Confirmed destination receipts are preserved, while other imported received states become purchased items awaiting an actual receipt. Importing does not add stock, repeat receipt transactions, or execute Production. An imported copy of a production-based list does not create or change the associated production plan.

Ending access and deleting an account

You can review and confirm account deletion in Account on the website; the mobile app links to that review. Deleting an Owner account removes its owned kitchen workspaces and associated application data and team access. Deleting a non-Owner account removes that account and its access while shared operational records remain in the kitchen. Deletion cannot be undone through the app.

Account deletion does not retrieve files already shared, erase another device's saved copies, or remove records that providers must retain for billing, security, or legal purposes. See the Privacy Policy for retention and your choices. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or address a violation of these terms, subject to applicable law.

Changes and questions

We may update the service and these terms as features or legal requirements change. The date above identifies this version. For material changes, we will provide notice through the service or another appropriate channel before they take effect when required by applicable law. Continued use after updated terms take effect indicates acceptance only where permitted by law; any additional consent required by law must be obtained separately.

These terms do not remove rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. For questions, use our contact page. See our Privacy Policy for information about personal data.
